Part of a wider redevelopment of the London ASOS offices, ifse expanded restaurant capacity and enhanced the menu offering in the staff restaurant.

British online fashion and beauty retailer, ASOS.com, based in the art deco Greater London House building, were looking to improve and increase the the capacity of their staff restaurant facilities in partnership with their contract caterer and ifse.

ASOS’s main aim of the redevelopment was to replace the existing single quick service food facilities which was out-of-date and limited the menu offering.

The initial design put forward by ifse included a larger kitchen area, a bold new servery area and an additional coffee bar to deliver a more varied and diverse high quality food offering.

The Main Servery

As a result of the ifse led redesign, the servery area received a face lift. 4 new areas were designed including a Pizza Pit, with new pizza ovens, a porridge station, a toast stop as well as the main servery area for serving an enhanced menu.

Carveries, vegetarian options and meals of the day are now offered to staff. The servery has increased capacity and boosted restaurant sales as a result.

The Kitchen

The size of the kitchen was upgraded in the same footprint as previously due to the innovative space-saving technology our designers used in the initial stages. The main cold-room was moved into to further increase capacity and prep areas improved to allow for more on-site cooking.

The Coffee Shop

The quick service coffee area was the final area to be completed, offering simple grab and go products including new homemade sandwhiches, deli wraps and snacks. The redesigned area increased throughput with 2 new coffee machines, deli counter and the new SpeeDelight.

SpeeDelight creates Chef-worthy snacks in a compact shell, thanks to the combination of 3 cooking technologies: contact plates, infrared radiation and microwaves meaning your food is crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked inside. Learn more here.

“we are honoured to have worked on a prestigious project at ASOS that needed to be completed within a timeline. As a result of the hard work from all team members we delivered a project to be proud of.”
